He was a dedicated soldier who was forced to swap his military fatigues for the nursing uniform. As a trained soldier, Karabo Motemekoane, 36, was basically trained to tolerate pain. But being a soldier, a career that is often associated with naked machismo, was not his first love. His first love was nursing. What happened is, when Motemekoane was in his early teen years, his mother fell seriously ill and eventually died.
