A young boy went to a traditional initiation school without permission from his parents who were staunch Catholics. His father was a Catechist (teacher) and his mother a member of the Catholic Women’s Association. Fearful of the consequences, the parents complained to the church leaders but they did not get the reaction they expected for their quick report of their son’s alleged transgression against the church’s norms and teaching by attending initiation school.
