A double-murder suspect who had managed to evade arrest for 10 years was arrested last week after he viciously attacked a girlfriend who had refused to give in to his sexual demands.

Lefa Mabusane, 33, from Mazenod Ha-Paki, has been remanded in custody after being charged with assaulting his 26-year-old girlfriend who is from Ha-Tsolo.
Mabusane was wanted in connection with the murder of two nurses in Thaba-Bosiu in 2014.
Police say Mabusane, who had skipped the country to South Africa after allegedly murdering the women 10 years ago, met his current victim through social media.
Mabusane, whom the police say killed the nurses so that he could steal a car they were travelling in while attending a workshop at a local lodge, took his date to a local eatery.
The police say after the meal Mabusane took the woman in a car and demanded oral sex.
When she refused he assaulted her with an iron rod.
The woman reported the assault to the Thetsane police. ‘
Mabusane was arrested in Mokhotlong just as he was about to skip the country again.
The Mokhotlong police handed him over to the Thetsane police who quickly discovered that he was the man who had been on their wanted list for 10 years.
