POPULAR musician Malome Vector, 32, has died. Malome Vector, real name Bokang Justice Moleli, died in a car accident along South Africa’s N1 Road yesterday afternoon. Two men who were in the same car with him also perished on the spot. One of them is Lizwilenkosi Mtshali, 22, a South African.

The particulars of the other deceased male were not yet known at the time of going to press last night.
The two people injured are Puleng Rebecca Phoofolo, 28, and a male whose particulars had not yet been confirmed.
According to reports from the South African police, the five were travelling towards Kroonstad when their Datsun iGO lost control and rammed into the back of the trailer of a truck driving towards Gauteng.
The report indicates that the Datsun iGO was dragged for some distance before the truck stopped. The truck driver reported that he found two men trapped in the Datsun iGO. Another was lying behind the truck.
The injured were rushed to Boitumelo Hospital in Kroonstad while the deceased were taken to Sasolburg State Mortuary.
Born in Roma, Malome Vector had two albums. He began his career alongside Ntate Stunna, under their record label called Penya Play. The singer, songwriter and rapper signed a record deal with South Africa’s Ambitiouz Entertainment in June 2020. He recorded his ‘Karabo’ album under Ambitiouz Entertainment.
The album, named after his daughter, features heavyweights like Sjava, Intaba Yase Dubai and Blaq Diamond. Relations however soured and Malome Vector left to start his own record label, Whole Time Entertainment.
In March 2024 Malome Vector released ‘1964’, his second and last album. He collaborated with the other deceased Lizwilenkosi Lizwi’ Mtshali on the hit song ‘’Ya Costa’’.
