Swipe and win big prizes at the ‘blue bank’

STANDARD Lesotho Bank yesterday launched a transactional campaign in Maseru. The transactional promotion will run from August 1 to December 31 this year. Rethabile Motsoahae, the Head of Personal and Private Banking at Standard Lesotho Bank, said clients must perform three or more qualifying transactions per month during the campaign period to enter the promotion.

“The qualifying transactions include swiping or tapping SLB cards for purchases at any machine regardless of the bank, sending instant money and buying prepaid airtime or electricity using their mobile banking app,” Motsoahae said.

You can qualify by “at least one swipe or tap for a purchase at any card machine regardless of the bank, at least one instant money transfer and at least one purchase of prepaid airtime or electricity”.

“The promotion is open exclusively to Standard Lesotho Bank customers with transactional accounts ranging from blue, silver and gold card holders,” he said.

Motsoahae also said employees of Standard Lesotho Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

“The minimum transaction amount must be M20,” he said.

“If a competitor performs these three transactions in a period of three months there will be a cash prize won amounting to M300 000 on a monthly basis, a brand new Nissan Magnate and a M3 000 voucher worth of groceries won per client and per month for the clients that used their debit cards to swipe.”

Keketso Makara, the bank’s Head of Business and Commercial Banking, said the draw for the brand new car will be done in December considering the transaction history from the start.
“Prizes are not transferrable and must be accepted as awarded,” Makara said.

Makara also said accounts must not have arrears or negative balances during the campaign period.

Makara said winners must consent to the use of their personal information and image for publicity related to the competition and the prize award is conditional on the granting of this permission.

“On our last lending campaign we had three winners walking away with M20 000 cash prizes as we promised that the transactional campaign cash prizes will be won to the clients that participated,” he said.

The winners are Thato Chobokoane, Taele Paul Lebona, and Motlatsi Sekotlo who walked away with M20 000 cash prizes yesterday.

Chobokoane said she took a vehicle loan and has been a Standard Lesotho Bank client for over a year.

“I was so surprised when I got an sms from Standard Lesotho Bank saying I had won a cash prize while participating in a lending campaign,” Chobokoane said.

“I am very thankful to Standard Lesotho Bank,” she said.

Chobokoane also urged every Mosotho to participate in campaigns like this as Standard Lesotho Bank really changes people’s lives for the better and the cash prizes are really won.

“This M20 000 is going to change my life for the better and I thank Standard Lesotho Bank for changing my life.”
